Award

• One-time scholarship of $5,000 to help cover tuition.

Eligibility Requirements

• Heritage: Must be of Latin/Hispanic heritage (parent(s) and/or grandparent(s) born in a recognized Latin American Spanish-speaking country).

• Residency/Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident

• Education:

  • Currently a high school senior in Monroe County, PA.

  • Proof of acceptance to a two- or four-year institution for Fall 2026

• Academic Performance: Minimum GPA of 2.7

Required Application Materials

• High school transcripts (unofficial copies usually accepted).

• Two letters of recommendation (one from an educator and one from a community member is often preferred).

• Personal Essay (1-2 pages or 500-1,000 words, addressing personal background, goals, achievements, community involvement and why you deserve the scholarship.

• Letters of acceptance/commitment to a college (if known).

• Application Opens: January 1, 2026

• Submission Deadline: March 31, 2026 (late applications are not accepted).

• Award Announcements: April 30, 2026

Expectation: Scholarship winners must attend the LSF Annual Gala on September 19, 2026.
