Eligibility & Requirements
Who Can Apply?
The Latin Scholarship Fund scholarship is designed to support eligible Latino students pursuing higher education.
Eligibility Requirements
Latino Heritage
Applicants must be of Latino/Hispanic heritage, with a parent or grandparent born in a recognized Latin American Spanish-speaking country.
Residency or Citizenship
Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
Education
Applicants must be currently enrolled as a high school senior in Monroe County, Pennsylvania.
College Acceptance
Applicants must provide proof of acceptance to a two-year or four-year educational institution for Fall 2026.
Academic Performance
Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.7.
Required Application Materials
Applicants should be prepared to submit the following:
- High school transcript. Unofficial copies are generally accepted.
- Two letters of recommendation, preferably one from an educator and one from a community member.
- A personal essay of approximately 500–1,000 words addressing your personal background, goals, achievements, community involvement, and why you believe you deserve the scholarship.
- College acceptance or commitment documentation, if available.
